This is a little place in the heart of Miami Lakes. The staff is kind and efficient. The sushi is fresh and delicious. My husband always gets the steak Pad Thai and does nothing but rave about it. Best in town.

Best Thai Restaurant in Miami! Had the Shrimp Pad Thai, spring rolls & Tom ka Gai soup! So delicious & extremely alAttentive staff! Don't leave without ordering The Thai Doughnuts!!

Really good pad thai! My wife loved the sushi and the place was nice with great service. They were receptive in changing a soup because it was too spicy which is always a sign of great service. Will come back!

This place has delicious pad thai and its a shareable portion. The service is always good & friendly. Just went on a Friday night at 8:30 & we were done with dinner for 2 by 9:15. Good comes out fresh & hot! The thai cafe sushi roll is yummy. I have also tried the beauty & the beast and the volcano roll. I have never been disappointed with the food or service I have been receiving here for the past 4 years.

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. They have the best volcano roll! Their shrimp pad thai is also very good. I've always had a good experience with the service. It's a small location but very good I totally recommend!

Their menu has remained the exact same for over 6 years so if you go often it can get a little boring, but their food is great. The curry and volcano roll are delicious.

This cozy Thai Restaurant is phenomenal! They have a welcoming staff and there is constant movement of customers. I believe the Thai Restaurant makes the most amazing sushi rolls. I've tried the california and dragon rolls! They don't compare to any other sushi restaurant I've been to. They garnish the California roll with caviar and the dragon roll has a combination of flavors garnished with a slice of avocado on each roll. The miso soup is another of my favorites to order! The chicken fried rice is cooked to order with a heaping pill of delicious steaming love! They also have edamame that is steamed to perfection and goes well with some hot saki:) all and all the Thai restaurant is my first choice when it comes to real quality in food! Definitely, check it out if you are a sushi lover or Thai in general. Kudos to the sushi chef!!

It's solid good. I always enjoy my meal. Great pad Thai, good sushi selection at good prices. Service is always pretty good too given its a small place. Will keep coming back as I have been for years.

Service was acceptable but the food wasn't that great. I got a pad Thai that was almost too salty to eat. My friends got dishes that were nothing special. The sushi was not bad but doesn't compare to Shima's sushi. There are better Thai places in Miami Lakes. I won't be going back.

It's a small, intimate place with delicious food. I've been a customer for years and they never disappoint. Some of my favorite shrimp pad thai, egg noodle soup, crunchy salmon roll and their fried cheesecake. Yum!

This is the second time I've eaten here. The food is decent, but I've not seen it busy. Perhaps the poor reviews I've seen figure into that. Overall, it's not the best Thai food I've had, but I've had worse. I had the sushi roll and chicken curry combo. It was good but very sparse on the chicken curry. The sushi rolls were very good. Overall, this is decent food but not the best.

I have always visited this restaurant and always loved it. The fish was always fresh and the sushi to die for. But yesterday it was a different story, I ordered take out and it took over an hour to be ready even though they told me that it would be ready in 25 minutes. I thought nothing of this because I figured at least it'll be fresh by the time I got home, but that wasn't the case. The crab topping on the dynamite roll was hard and lukewarm, the tuna and salmon for the seasons roll was extremely fishy to the point that I couldn't eat it without gagging. Super disappointed to say the least.

Tried this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed the fast friendly service. The Pad Thai lunch special was 8.95 and came quickly and steaming hot. Big portions and there was a lovely chicken soup that came with the lunch.

I wish I could actually review the food, but it was not to be this night. I arrived at around 9:00pm with my wife to a half-full restaurant. There was still quite awhile until the restaurant closed, so it's not like we were cutting it close. We were seated and handed menus. And that was it. No one ever came back. We waited for about 15 minutes all told, made eye contact with the two waiters a number of times and decided the final straw was when the couple that came in after gave their drink orders. Sorry Thai Cafe... Actually, no, not really... You should apologize to me. Either way, it will be a long time before we're convinced to go back.

My low rating is for their Japanese bento box. Do not order their chicken teriyaki. They use chicken white meat that's dry and the teriyaki sauce is watery. As for the shrimp tempura....prepared by amateurs. The batter they use is not even close to those of real Japanese restaurants.

We went after a movie as their arent many choices on Main Street anymore for a late dinner. The server was very nice and attentive. I had visited before and loved the food but this time went the Sushi route rather than the Thai food. The Tuna Lover was very dry and had no flavor at all, the dragon roll was good. I would recommend it more for Thai food than for sushi

I've eaten here several times a year for the last 4 years. I stay at the Shula Hotel across the street and love Thai food. It makes for a break from Shula's sports bar. Thai Cafe has gone down steadily. Tonight was rock bottom. Instead of ordering my usual curry shrimp, i craved vegetables and ordered Thai Cafe Connection: sauteed chicken and shrimp with vegetables seasoned with chili paste. I should have sent it back. Have you ever been served stir fried iceberg lettuce? Seriously. I guess technically it's a vegetable (like ketchup is a vegetable). A few pieces of celery, ditto carrot disks and a couple of water chestnut pieces. Soggy chicken pieces and a few tiny shrimp. One of the worst meals I've eaten in a Thai place. I know the place is not great, but enough time goes by that I forget how mediocre it is, and it's convenient across the street from the hotel, so I go. N.O.T. A.N.Y. M.O.R.E.

I ordered Sushi only and the fish was very fresh and good, I would give it a 3 or maybe a 2 for speed of service, they really need to hire more staff. Great food though, didn't try the Thai but I'm a seasoned sushi eater and the fish was very good quality, fresh too.
(4)

I always order the pad Thai and the curry chicken and am never disappointed. Great flavor and the food is fresh. The atmosphere is casual, and it's a mom-and-pop joint. Been around for at least 10 years. Service is average; it's not bad but also not something to rave about. Overall a good spot for Thai and sushi.

This place is a sorry excuse for Thai. I'd rather eat a cup ramen noodles. I had to run straight to the toilet as soon as I was done eating. It's embarrassing that they even serve this "food". Where do they get this stuff?!

Ryan A.
This place is one of my favorites. It's small and charming and the staff is nice, I've tried almost every sushi item and they're all delicious. The Pad Thai is probably the best I've ever tasted. I love the location, as the place sits in the heart of Main Street in Miami Lakes with a movie theater and shops just a quick walk away. Quick tip...if youre having trouble finding parking on Main Street, there is a parking lot directly behind Thai Cafe that always has spots. If you love Thai food and sushi it's a must that you check this place out.

Pleasant little restaurant. The waiting staff is nice and the curry I always order is good. Only had one negative experience with the food (friend's shrimp pad thai was too sweet and eggs were a little burnt). It's tiny btw, so you might have to wait a while to be seated on weeknights/weekends.

Came here the other day for lunch with a friend. She wanted to take me to another place for sushi (because thats what we were in the mood for) but unfortunately that place was closed for lunch. Since I don't know the area at all and she does I told her to choose another place to grab some sushi. She took me to Thai Cafe. It's in a great location on Main Street, with plenty of shops just a hop, skip and a jump and away. Upon walking in, I could have sworn I saw a tumbleweed rolling by. There wasn't a single customer in the restaurant...which was kind of nice and also off putting at the same time. We ordered a few different things and they came out relatively quickly, as would be expected considering we were the only customers there. The Kani-Su that I had was delicious but the Geisha roll left something to be desired. It's a deep fried roll but it seemed to have to much tempura and was slightly on the burnt side.

Came here to satisfy my Pad Thai craving and while it was good and a very large portion, something about it left me wanting more We also got a roll that was called Beauty and the Beast (half tuna and half eel with asparagus, avocado, scallion & cream cheese with eel sauce) The eel was my favorite Three large servings of Hot Sake later and after waiting a long time for the bill it came out to about $50 which is pretty incredible in my opinion The service can be a bit more attentive considering how small the place is but all you have to do is raise your hand or give the waitress a look and they come right over so it's no big deal I usually like to be left alone when I'm throwing it down Thai Cafe is located in Main Street which is an area in Miami Lakes that has a good amount of stores, restaurants and a Cobb Theater so it's nice way to spend an evening

I am staying at the hotel across the street and wanted something other than steak. The reviews for the chicken pad thai seemed good so I walked over and ordered it to take out. They said it would be ready in ten minutes. It was. I didn't venture in but noticed this is a fusion restaurant where the people who own it are probably mostly Thai or Chinese but decided to try and conquer sushi also. I got back to my room and opened the stapled brown bag. I had a tray of food and no napkin or utensils, and no fortune cookie. Ha. But seriously they could have thrown in a pair of chopsticks or a napkin at least. The food was ok. Nothing earth-shattering. I had not asked for spicy and indeed there was no heat to it. Probably won't go back.

This place is great especially for lunch. Sushi/Sashimi is always fresh. I am always looking for good pad thai and this is one of the few places where i like to order it! Went for dinner recently for the first time and their wine selection was ok but not great... but then i guess i should have ordered sake instead. Also tried their desserts for the first time and the thai donuts were AWESOME :) and if you love lychee fruit like i do; they serve a very refreshing and guilt free bowl of lychees on ice water! very nice :)

The interior of the Thai Cafe needs an update. It is dark and a bit outdated, but this restaurant remains a Main Street staple. Their pad thai is my favorite, and I have eaten pad thai from the competitor, Michael's Thai, as well as Bangkok Bangkok's pad thai. Their gyoza is always good and their Thai donuts are my favorite. I've never had a problem with their wait staff, but have yet to try their sushi bar or curry selections. Prices are fair considering the area and the food is always fresh. The salads are served on a large salad plate with plenty of ginger dressing. This isn't a large place, so big parties may have trouble with seating. It very, very small. There is usually a sports game on at the smaller sushi bar and though Thai Cafe doesn't deliver, it does do takeout orders. If you're in the area, this quiet little place is worth checking out.

I have been coming to Thai cafe for over 10 years and I absolutely love their crispy duck, it is always amazing. I enjoy the atmosphere and the waiters are kind and offer a good service. The price is very good. Everything I have tried from the sushi rolls to the curry lobster have not disappoint me. The donuts are to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is by far my favorite Thai place in Miami. My girlfriend and I have been going here since we first started dating. The food is delicious and service is great...very friendly. We usually order an appetizer, most of the time the seaweed salad, the Pad Thai, some sushi, and a thai tea. Ive loved everything Ive had here. Would recommend this place to anyone who is in the mood for some great thai food.

The food was disgusting and cold. The service was awful, rude, and indifferent. Plus there was a lady with a DOG, yes a real dog inside of the restaurant. Several staff members saw the dog and totally ignored it!!!

Loved this place, went in for lunch; the service was great and the food was out of this world!!! I had a Thai salad as an appetizer and it was very simple yet tasty, the dressing wasn't too over powering, loved that it was served on the side. As per the entrée, I had the coconut curry chicken that was spicy but not overly done.
